Hello!, Salut!, or Živjo!
We are the Brown family of Northern California. We have six children, four at home and two on a mission. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have created this blog to share our experiences as missionaries and as a missionary family.
Who are the “two on a mission”?
Elder Brown: Recently I’ve been learning to surf. I also like to draw, eat, and hike. My favorite sport is tennis, which I played in high school. I have been called to serve in the Romania/Moldova mission starting on July 24th. I want to serve a mission to spread the word of the restored gospel to others and become closer to my Heavenly Father. I know that Christ truly did establish a true and living Atonement, which has brought much joy and relief in my life. I know that Heavenly Father answers prayers, and hope to be able to help others find their way to the truth.
Sister Brown: I received my mission call in June and will be serving in the Adriatic North Mission (Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro) starting September 11th. I am excited to serve a mission because I want to share my testimony of Christ with others so they can experience the joy that I have felt through living the gospel. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints preaches true doctrine that has helped me draw nearer to my God. I know that Christ is real and through Him I can be forgiven of my sins and obtain eternal life. I also enjoy swimming, drawing, and dancing when I have free time.
