Farewell Brașov!

Hi everybody!

Sorry, but this will be another shorty, I’m afraid.

This week was sour cream peach pie topped with pecans.

We held a Family Home Evening this week with the less active family we’ve been working with.  Sora Bair taught the majority of the evening (the activity part) in Romanian.  How cool is that?!  The kids loved the activity.  All of the family (except the dad, who’s not a member) came to church on Sunday for sacrament meeting!

The son in the family (ridiculously sharp and cool kid) has been coming to church for the last two weeks.  His excitement and light upon coming home from church must have had an impact on his mom, because at the end of our FHE (when asking about setting up a ride for him) she said she wanted to come too.  The dad dropped off the entire family at church on Sunday.  It’s been so amazing to see the reactivation of this family happen in such a short time.  I’m so happy for them, and I consider it the largest miracle of my mission yet.

This Sunday the branch was so full and felt so alive (so many kids, especially!).  It was a great note to go out on, as I’m headed to Iasi this week.

So yeah, it’s time to say goodbye to my friends in Brasov and move on to the beautiful city of Iasi.  Brasov will, of course, never leave my heart.

More adventures to come,

Varstnicul Brown
